Jake Clayton was asked to join the house band for a new CMT special called “Smashing Glass”. It’s a show that pays homage to the incredible women who have shattered the glass ceiling in music over the years. For this first episode, the two featured women are Country Music legend Tanya Tucker and R&B legend Patti LaBelle.

Jake performed during the Tanya Tucker segment which had him playing fiddle and steel for multiple artists including Country stars Chris Jansen & Clint Black. Jake also joined the much talked about ‘SistaStrings’ (members of Brandi Carlile's touring band) for a special string quartet performance supporting Tanya Tucker on her “Bring My Flowers Now” hit.
