After the passing of his father, Jake wanted to do a tribute album not only to his dad, but to the state he grew up in, and the music he grew up playing. The result is "Show-Me State of Mind", a collection of classic Country and Bluegrass songs that Jake would either play along with his dad, or were his dad's favorites. This release also shines a light onto a guitar player named Bill Potts, who Jake grew up performing alongside at "Grandma's Country Music" in Stoutsville, Mo. Bill's influence on Jake's playing still resonates today. Although this album is a step outside of Jake's current artistry, it is a glimpse into the musical influences that molded Jake into the musician he has become. It also showcases his talent as Jake performed every Instrument on this album!
